Died, at his residence, three miles north of Roberts, Sunday evening, Jan. 25th, John McDonald. John was a young man of about twenty seven, just entering upon life when the destroyer in the shape of diphtheria laid him low. He leaves a brother, two sisters and a circle of friends to mourn his death. So passed from our midst one who was the very embodiment of health and vigor surely, "thou hast all seasons for thine own", Oh! death.--Paxton Record. 29 January 1880.
